The
Pastor’s Comments on

As time flies by, please take a minute to
consider what the Lord has done for you. I don’t mean in the way of
material blessings, we all know and can see them. I’m talking more
about the things you cannot see; like good common sense
– we all know what a fool is and most of us try to avoid being placed
in that classification whenever we can; personal mobility
– we all may not have cars, many of us can move around our
environments without physical limitations or restrictive devices; freedom
- while we talk about the process this country goes through every
four years like the presidential political campaigning and while we may
not like the economic situation facing the country today, we all must
admit there is no other place we would rather live than right here in
the good old US of A. All of these things represent choices that we are
blessed to make, have and keep.
As we
approach the Passion Week, I would like for you to also think about
Jesus’ mission and his thought process. He really didn’t have a
choice of how he would live, or what his work would be, or whether he
would sacrifice his life for humanity. You see obedience to Father God
for the sake of the world, didn’t give him another acceptable option.
Humanity was too valuable for him not to pay the price he paid or
satisfy the debt we still owed. And so we honor Him, worship Him and
thank Him especially during the Passion Week for things he has done.
Christians who don’t come out to church at any other time are there on
Easter Sunday to celebrate the passion of Christ Jesus and so the church
must be ready to accept and receive those who come.
It is the tradition of faith that has been passed down throughout
the generations. yet when it comes to the personal pledges that we must
make, we look at our options and alternatives.
